Greener Grass was started in 1986 by Craig Girodat. Initially offering liquid fertilizer and weed control applications, it has grown to now offer Granular Slow Release and Organic Fertilizer as well as Vegetation Control, Power Raking, Aeration and Over Seeding services. As a family owned and operated company, customer satisfaction has been a priority to Craig and his staff. This is evident in the high percentage of repeat clients and referrals by our valuable clients. Parker Girodat joined Greener Grass in 2005 and is an integral part of the management operations.

Born in Saskatchewan and relocating to Calgary at an early age, Parker discovered a passion for the grass industry while assisting his father, who founded Greener Grass in 1986. Engaging with the business since the age of 10, Parker continued to learn and contribute, eventually joining the company in 2006.

Having travelled extensively and played and watched sports passionately, his love for the industry has remained steadfast. Embracing the opportunity to work alongside his father, he eagerly jumped in, witnessing Craigs gradual transition into semi-retirement. Adapting to evolving challenges, such as new weeds and bugs entering the Calgary market, Parker looks to stay vigilant, constantly updating their products for the healthiest looking grass and optimal pest control.

For Parker, the most rewarding aspect is witnessing neglected lawns transform into magazine-worthy landscapes within a season, with customers expressing regret for not discovering Greener Grass sooner!

Each Greener Grass team member builds relationships with the customers and with their properties.

After doing a lawn at a customer’s house, employees get to see firsthand the improvement after each visit we are there. Our staff take pride in their work and adjust programs for the customers if they find something is not working for the individual’s needs.
